Tunisia-Yadh Elloumi calls Kais Saied’s words “populist” and “irresponsible”

Qalb Tounes MP Yadh Elloumi returned to the speech made by President Kais Saied after his meeting with Head of Government Hichem Mechichi regarding the new Kasbah appointments.

In a post published on his Facebook page this Wednesday, September 23, 2020, Elloumi called the president’s statements “populist” and “irresponsible.”

The deputy considered that Saied exceeded his powers by encroaching on those of the Head of Government as well as those of the judiciary.

He considered paradoxical that the Head of State did not take the same position when it came to the suspicion of a conflict of interest leading to the resignation of former head of government Elyes Fakhfakh.
