Prime Minister Youssef Chahed announced that President Kais Saied will visit Algeria within the next few weeks.
“I came here with a message of friendship and amity from Tunisian President Kais Saied to the Algerian people and leadership,” Chahed told reporters following talks with Algeria’s interim president, Abdelkader Bensalah.
Chahed stated he delivered a message from Saied to Bensalah, which emphasised the significance of the “strategic and deep-rooted Algerian-Tunisian relations.
Chahed highlighted the necessity to extend collective efforts to deal with the hurdles facing the two countries, including security in the region.
