A patrol of the Customs Guard Division in Zaghouan was capable of seizing, following an inquiry and thanks to an ambush on an agricultural road, a truck loaded with contraband goods, after its driver refused to ‘obey and attempted to run.
Large quantities of smuggled ready-made clothing and mobile phone accessories were found, with a total value estimated at 362 thousand dinars, including the value of the seized truck.
After consultation with the public prosecutor, authorization was given to refer the two arrested suspects to the competent security services to initiate legal proceedings.
