Zamalek president Mortada Mansour has announced that the club’s committee of directors has collectively resolved to not play the CAF Super Cup final against Esperance Sportive de Tunis which is assumed to be held in February 2020 in Qatar.
“Zamalek board decided not to play the Super Cup in Qatar because it is hostile to Egypt,” Mansour stated.
“We reviewed our opinions together on the board meeting, some took the game from a sporting viewpoint and others opposed playing looking from a political point of view and seeing that Qatar works on destructing Egypt.”
