Medenine’s legal medicine services revealed that they have received a requisition to identify a body in an advanced decomposition state discovered on the beaches of Zarzis.
They affirmed that DNA analyses concluded that it was a sea animal corpse. This prompted officials to get rid of it and not keep it in the morgue.
The medical services confirm that they have notified the prosecution of these observations.
Remark that these statements arise to put an end to rumours of the destruction of a baby corpse washed off on Zarzis beach.
