The inhabitants of Zarzis chased, this Friday, October 14, 2022, Medenine governor and the delegate of Zarzis from the headquarters of the delegation.
The protesters, assembled in front of the delegation headquarters, voiced their dissatisfaction with the management of the tragedy which has shaken Zarzis, since the disappearance of a boat transporting illegal emigrants.
Eighteen people from Zarzis have vanished and the bodies washed up by the sea were buried in anonymity without alerting families.
The governor of Medenine revealed yesterday that the bodies had been transported to the regional hospital, before being buried in the garden of Africa, where the unknown migrants are buried, according to the laws in force.
