Tunisia – Zarzis inhabitants fed up with actions of sub-Saharan nationals placed in their homes

The Sango region, in the town of Zarzis, is undergoing a state of tension, due to “repeated aggression on properties by immigrants from sub-Saharan Africa, placed by the organizations concerned, in the region”, according to what the protestors confirmed to the press.

They added that 3 fishing boats, owned by local sailors, were robbed by the migrants, two of which were retrieved and the third was used in an illegal migration operation.

Several residents called on local authorities to interfere urgently to evacuate them from their agricultural land after the destruction of several olive trees.
