Tunisie-Abdelmadjid Tebboune: “We are operating to advance relations with Tunisia in the hope of achieving economic integration”

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune stated this evening in a press conference with President Kais Saied that his visit to Tunisia is part of joint bilateral efforts aimed at reinforcing the deep-rooted fraternal ties between the two brother peoples.
Highlighting the concern of the leaders of the two nations to advance bilateral relations in the hope of achieving economic integration and common prospects and unity. Tebboune affirmed that the strengthening of bilateral relations reflects the strategic approach based on historical and geographic rapprochement.
He likewise indicated his accord with President Kais Saied to strengthen the legal framework for regulating bilateral relations by signing a number of pacts in several vital sectors. In addition, he said the bilateral meeting with Saied provided a chance to address regional and international situations.
During the meeting, they examined issues of common interest and the situation in Libya, underscoring his support for Saied’s position that the Libyan issue must be resolved by the Libyans themselves.
In the same context, he expressed his wish to get rid of mercenaries and foreign forces so that harmony between all parties in Libya could be restored. On the other hand, Melbourne remarked on the Arab Summit that Algeria will host next year. “We desire it to be a global summit, and we will not perpetuate Arab discrimination,” he said.
