United Kingdom Defense Secretary Ben Wallace strongly denied claims on Monday that the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that he would rather “let the bodies pile high in their thousands” than institute a third coronavirus lockdown.
The Daily Mail reported earlier that Johnson made the comment in October at a Number 10 meeting. “It’s been categorically denied by practically everyone,” Wallace told Sky News.
“We’re getting into the sort of comedy chapter now of these gossip stories – unnamed sources by unnamed advisers talking about unnamed events,” the minister added.
