The Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation said on Sunday that “all the evidence points to the fact that Russia is behind the cyberattack” targeting its government agencies and websites. The United States already stated the attack is a “true part of the Russian playbook.”
The Ukrainian government added it continues to investigate the incident, but that it is “one of the manifestations of Russia’s hybrid war against Ukraine, which has been going on since 2014.” It said the attack aimed to “intimidate society” and to “destabilize the situation in Ukraine by stopping the work of the public sector and undermining the confidence in the government on the part of Ukrainians.”
