Ukrainian interior minister killed in helicopter crash

Ukrainian Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky was killed in a helicopter crash in the Kiev region on Wednesday, the police stated.

National Police Chief Ihor Klymenko noted that there were 16 fatalities following the crash, including Monastyrsk’s deputy minister and the state secretary, as well as two children. The official added that another 22 people have been injured in the accident, including 10 children. “The site of the incident is being examined,” Klymenko underlined.
