UNGA head: No more time left for Gaza, ‘carnage must stop’

United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) President Dennis Francis  stressed on Tuesday during a UNGA meeting that there is no more time left for Gaza, insisting that the “carnage must stop.”

“For as long as this violence persists, a political solution for this conflict will continue to be undermined. The longer it takes the higher the risk that a negotiated two-state solution will increasingly become out of reach,” he stressed.

Francis once again called for an “immediate humanitarian ceasefire.” Previous reports said that during the meeting, UNGA is expected to vote on a draft resolution that will demand an armistice be implemented swiftly.
