Unrest in Dublin escalates as protests spread

The tensions in the streets of Dublin continued to rise on Thursday as protesters continued to clash with the police and turned to destroying public property.

According to outlets such as RTE, Dublin Live, and The Irish Independent, the demonstrators bottled the law enforcement members, smashed several shop windows, raided stores, and set several buses, cars, and even a train ablaze. As a result, the public bus and tram transport temporarily suspended their services.

The protests erupted after five people, including three children, were injured in a stabbing attack in the Irish capital.
