The United States State Department has on Thursday approved a sale to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of air-to-air missiles and missile rail launchers to the value of $650M, pending Congress approval. Raytheon Technologies is named as the principal contractor.
“This proposed sale will support U.S. foreign policy and national security of the United States by helping to improve the security of a friendly country that continues to be an important force for political and economic progress in the Middle East,” reads the press release on the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency website.
