The number of people who tested positive for the COVID-19 during the day across the United States landed at 47,197 on Sunday, taking the country’s total to 5,041,473, according to Johns Hopkins University’s tally.
Additionally, the data showed virus-related deaths rising by 532 to 162,913, halving compared to the 1,329 deaths confirmed the day before.
