Three Palestinian students were shot and wounded in the US state of Vermont yesterday evening, Saturday, while the gunman remains at large.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a statement on Sunday denouncing the shooting. The ministry denounces “in the strongest terms the heinous crime of gunshot wound of which… Hisham Awartani, Tahseen Ahmed and Kanan Abdel Hamid were victims only because they wore Palestinian keffiyeh and spoke Arabic.
The ministry called on the relevant US authorities to “quickly apprehend the criminal, take him into custody, investigate and hold him accountable for his actions”.
