VDL warns of tough response over sabotage of gas pipeline

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen warned on Tuesday that any purposeful interference with the functioning energy infrastructure of Europe is unacceptable and will be met with the toughest possible response.

The European Commission president revealed she discussed the gas leak on the Nord Stream pipeline with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, indicating that an inquiry is being conducted to determine the precise cause of the explosions.
