WHO deplores bombing of Red Crescent headquarters in Gaza

The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) deplored Tuesday evening the “unacceptable” strikes that the Palestinian Red Crescent says it suffered on its premises in Khan Younes, in the Gaza Strip.

“I deplore today’s strikes on the @PalestineRCS -run Al-Amal hospital in the southern #Gaza city of Khan Younis, which severely damaged the Palestine Red Crescent Society training centre located within the hospital complex, “Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus wrote on X.

Israel bombed the headquarters of the Palestinian Red Crescent in Khan Younes yesterday Tuesday, as the casualty toll from nearly three months of war in Gaza exceeded 22,000.

The Gaza Health Ministry declared 207 people had been killed in the past 24 hours as the southern Gaza Strip was pounded by tank shells and airstrikes.
