WHO sees 15% drop in COVID spread rate

World Health Organization revealed that there have been 3.5 million new COVID-19 cases recorded in the world in the last 7 days, marking a 15% drop in the pace of the spread of the disease.
The overall number of coronavirus-caused deaths in the world has fallen by 7% in the past week to 78,000 fatalities. The mortality percentage declined almost everywhere at a different pace, except for Africa where it rose by 11%.
The incidence rate grew in Africa by 22% and the Western Pacific by 6%. Whereas in Europe the infectious spread decreased by 26%, along with Southeast Asia (24%) and the Americas (2%)
