Kairouan’s economic control teams seized, on Monday, August 22, 2023, portions of food products, fodder and cigarette packets.
The regional trade director, Imed Sendid, told TAP that 17 tonnes of semolina and high-quality flour were seized from a bakery, in addition to the seizure on board a truck of 12 tonnes of sedari (240 bags), 12.6 tons of durum wheat (281 bags) and 20.8 tons of bulk barley.
It should be mentioned that this operation is part of the program to fight the phenomena of monopoly and speculation.
