Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Majed Al Ansari revealed on Friday that Israel released 39 Palestinian women and children it had held in its prisons.
The move was in accordance with the commitments Israel and Hamas made for the first day under their ceasefire and hostage and prisoner exchange agreements, the Qatari official confirmed.
