Algeria: 17 people injured as bus overturns in Constantine

17 individuals were injured in a swerving and overturning accident of a passenger bus on Tuesday afternoon in the “Onama” neighbourhood in Constantine, Algeria, the Civil Protection Directorate reported.

 The Media and Communication Cell of the Civil Protection Directorate in the state noted that the accident happened on National Road No. 3 in its section linking the states of Constantine and Skikda, precisely in the “Onama” neighbourhood, causing various injuries to 17 people between the ages of 4 and 65 years.

The Secondary Civil Protection Unit of the Constantine District deployed 5 ambulances and two trucks to interfere in this accident, according to the same source.

For its part, the competent regional security services opened an inquiry to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
