An earthquake measuring 5.8 in magnitude rattled the island of Tonga, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.
The tremor struck the region at a depth of 247 kilometers with an epicenter located about 344 kilometers north of the capital of Nuku’alofa, according to EMSC.
Currently, there is no definitive information on the impact in terms of casualties or damages.
