An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 struck the southern Philippines, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said on Friday.
The quake’s epicenter was registered 53 kilometers away from the city of General Santos, located in the region of Soccsksargen and home to 679,000 people. The earthquake hit at a depth of 70 kilometers.
No damage or casualties have been reported so far.
