Tunisia- Tunisian passport ranks 71 in power

The Tunisian passport, which grants entrance to 71 destinations without a prior visa, was classified 71th in the Henley Passport Index, which was announced by the consulting firm Henley & Partners. The Henley Passport Index listed all the world’s passports according to the number of destinations their holders can reach without a prior visa. The classification is based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and backed by continuous examination by Henley & Partners.

The same ranking placed Morocco’s passport in 76 places while Algeria’s passport (89th). The Algerian passport provides travellers with the opportunity to travel to 51 destinations without a visa while the Morrocan can access 64 destinations.

The data reveals that the pandemic has radically upended the apparently unshakeable global mobility hierarchy that has ruled the last few decades, with more change still to come.

The ranking said that U.S passport took a hit as it was before ranked 6th with access to 185 destinations, however. Since then, that number has dropped dramatically by over 100, with US passport holders currently able to access fewer than 75 destinations.

For the Mena region, The Jordanian passport is 89th, with 51 visa-exempt destinations. Egypt succeeds in the 90th  with 50 visa-free destinations.

In the Gulf, the UAE comes in 18th globally (170 visa-free destinations), while Kuwait stands 53rd with 96 visa-exempt destinations.

The topmost passports across the world are those of Japan (1st place, 191 destinations), Singapore (2nd place, 190 destinations), and South Korea (189 destinations) and Germany (189 destinations) in 3rd place.

Italy, Finland, Spain, and Luxembourg tied for the fourth position. Denmark and Austria are fifth in the ranking.
