Tunisia-Hichem Louzir: Vaccine will be free and these categories of people will be vaccinated as a priority

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, director of the Pasteur Institute, Hichem Louzir, declared Tunisia had decided to make healthcare-related to the coronavirus free in public health facilities.

Therefore, admission to intensive care units and PCR tests, vaccination will be free in these institutions, he added.

Moreover, he indicated that once procured, some categories of people will be vaccinated as a priority, in special fragile people (elderly and people suffering from chronic diseases) and people most exposed to the virus, such as journalists and health professionals.

Louzir likewise said high-ranking officials such as ministers and MPs could be on the priority list given the important role they play in implementing the country’s policy.
