Palestine-Gaza plans new lockdown amid rising coronavirus cases

Authorities in the Gaza Strip are planning a new lockdown as coronavirus infections skyrocketed.

Mosques and most schools will be shut down during the day although many businesses will be permitted to remain open until a nighttime curfew forces Gazans to stay at home. There will be a full closing at weekends.

Ministry spokesman Eyad Al-Bozom told reporters they were also considering moving to a complete lockdown, if needed.
