Units from the Carthage National Security District detained 16 young men who participated in acts of violence in the December 5 and Mohamed Ali neighbourhoods in western Kram.
Security sources reported by Mosaique FM said that number of young men set fire to rubber tires and plastic containers in front of commercial space and a cash desk in an effort to steal them. The attackers further hurled rocks at security and private vehicles, before security units intervened to disperse them, arrest 16 of them and seize bladed weapons including knives, swords and iron chains.
