The Public Prosecutor at Ben Arous Court of First Instance commanded a judicial interrogation toward official statements made by local journalist Tawfik Ben Brik on Nessma TV.
Tawfik Ben Brik asserted on Nessma TV the need to free “Heart of Tunisia” party president Nabil Karoui, who is running beside independent Kais Saied for the second round of the early presidential elections.
Ben Brik had stated: “in other countries, people take arms to support their candidates.” A comment that sparked public controversy with the Tunisian public sentiment.
