Mohmed Hammouda, the spokesperson for the Libyan government, declared that it was decided to shut down the borders with Tunisia for a week because of the delta variant of the coronavirus.
The land and air borders will be locked from this Thursday at midnight. The Libyan state will take care of the nationals stranded in Tunisia because of this decision, via its consulate.
