Tunisia-First day of vaccination: Recommendations of the health Ministry

The Ministry of Health declared that the national open vaccination day is programmed for Sunday, August 08, 2021, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. As such, It emphasised the convergence of the efforts of ministries, state institutions, public and private establishments, social partners, representatives of professional organizations, civil society, volunteers and the general public to conduct this day.

In order to secure the success of this day, the following points must be stressed:

  • The vaccination scheduled for August 8, 2021, is reserved exclusively for citizens aged 40 and over.
  • Those under 40 should abstain from going to vaccination centres.
  • The vaccination scheduled for August 8, 2021 is reserved for those who will receive the first dose.
  • Those who have already received it must wait for the message that will be sent to them via  SMS from the Evax platform.
  • All citizens affected by vaccination, whether or not they are on the Evax platform, must show an identity card or passport proving their identity.
  • Residents of Tunisia aged 40 and over can likewise be vaccinated on August 8, 2021, provided they show identification.
