President of the Republic Kaïs Saïed received Thursday US Ambassador to Tunisia, Donald Blome at the Carthage Palace.
The Head of State has communicated to the US ambassador “the discontent of the Tunisian state that the situation in Tunisia is involved in the agenda of the work of the U.S. Congress”.
He emphasised that “relations between the two nations will remain strong even if a number of Tunisians, who are heard abroad, try to discredit what happens in Tunisia.
The meeting was likewise an opportunity “to clarify certain points and remove ambiguities disseminated by the enemies of democracy.
