Attorneys have filed a complaint against former president Moncef Marzouki, calling for the opening of a criminal inquiry, for impairing the external security of the state.
In the complaint lodged with the public prosecutor of the Tunis Court of First Instance, we can read that the former president declared his pride on France 24 to be at the origin of the adjournment of the Summit of the Francophonie, which was to be held in Tunisia (Djerba), next November.
“After the announcement of Marzouki and the postponement of the Summit, what the latter did is deemed as” an act of aggression which harmed the interests of Tunisia, by denying it of the presence of a large number of countries, which would have produced contributions in foreign currency able to feed the public treasury of the State “, adds the same source.
