Tunisia: Mandatory quarantine could be imposed on unvaccinated people

The member of the Scientific Committee for the fight against the coronavirus, Amen Allah Messaidi, announced this Tuesday, November 16, 2021, that the health situation has progressed a lot with the decline in positivity and incidence rates, emphasising that the indicators in European nations are not reassuring, especially in Germany.
In a statement made to a radio, Messaidi stressed the necessity to respect preventive measures and enhance vaccination campaigns because the decline of the health situation is due to relaxation with regard to all measures of distancing and wearing of masks.
He added that one million Tunisians over the age of 40 have not yet been vaccinated and need to be vaccinated to protect themselves from severe forms of Covid. He said that more than 4 million and 700 thousand Tunisians are completely vaccinated and that the vaccination percentage has reached 50%, remarking that it is possible to eradicate the virus only with the acquisition of global collective immunity and that all scenarios are conceivable. Moreover, the imposition of compulsory quarantine on unvaccinated people is possible if the health situation worsens, as is the case in Austria.
