72 hours before the draw for the group stage of the Women’s AFCON 2022, planned for Friday (10:30 p.m. in Tunisia) at the Mohammed 5 Complex in Rabat, Morocco, CAF revealed the draw procedure on Tuesday. The composition of the hat for the women’s AFCON:
– A1: Morocco (host country)
– B1: Cameroon (second-highest ranked team)
– C1: Nigeria (defender).
Pot 1: Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Senegal, South Africa, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda and Zambia.
Each ball in pot 1 will be drawn. The first will go to group A, the second to group B and the third to group C. This process will be replicated two more times until all the balls have been distributed. Remember that this Moroccan edition will be the first with 12 parties and the final phase will take place from July 2 to 23, 2022.
