The International Olympic Committee (IOC) released a statement on Wednesday saying athletes and participants of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing will enter a closed-loop management system upon arrival and will be subject to daily testing, despite full vaccination status.
“All vaccines recognised by WHO or related international organizations, or approved by the countries or regions concerned, will be accepted,” IOC statement read.
Additionally, the tickets will be exclusively sold to spectators residing in China’s mainland who meet the requirements of the COVID-19 countermeasures. Beijing 2022 Games are scheduled to be held from February 4 to February 20.
