The death toll in the US from COVID-19 exceeded the 100,000 marks on Wednesday, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.
The university counted 100,271 deaths and 1,697,459 cases.
New York remains the worst-hit state with 29,484 deaths followed by New Jersey with 11,339 deaths.
