Buckingham Palace declared on Monday that King Charles III had been diagnosed with a type of cancer discovered during his recent hospital treatment for an enlarged prostate.
The specific type of cancer has not been disclosed, but the King has already begun “regular treatments.” Despite the diagnosis, the Palace stated that King Charles remains optimistic about his treatment “and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.”
