Yemen appoints Ahmed bin Mubarak as new PM

Yemen’s Council reported Monday that Ahmad Awad bin Mubarak will leave his position in the Foreign Ministry to become the new prime minister and to substitute outgoing Maeen Abdulmalik Saeed, who has been in the role since 2018.

Bin Mubarak has been in charge of Yemen’s Foreign Affairs since December 2022 and formerly, he was general secretary at the country’s National Dialogue Conference.
