China Eastern confirms fatalities after plane crash

China Eastern Airlines confirmed on Monday the crash of its Boeing 737 plane resulted in fatalities. However, it did not specify the number of casualties or the cause of the incident.

“The company expresses its deep condolences for the passengers and crew members who died in the plane crash,” the airline said in a statement, adding that the cause is “still under investigation.”
