China will lodge solemn representations with the United States, Beijing’s Commerce Ministry spokesperson Shu Jueteng said during a press conference on Thursday after Washington imposed sanctions on 12 companies from the Asian country.
Such measures are not conducive to good bilateral ties between Beijing and Washington, Shu added, describing the sanctions as “groundless.”
