US President Donald Trump has pledged not to command Americans to wear masks to contain the spread of COVID-19.
Speaking to Fox News Trump declared he didn’t agree with a national mask mandate, stating people should have “certain freedom”.
His remarks came after the country’s topmost infectious disease expert, Dr Anthony Fauci, urged state and local leaders to be “as forceful as possible” in making people wear masks.
