EU Council approves €18B in aid for Ukraine

The Council of the European Union declared its ministers approved the support package of up to €18 billion for Ukraine throughout the year 2023.

This assistance will come in the form of loans to be provided for Kyiv to help maintain its macro-financial stability, ensure its rehabilitation, carry out reforms and prepare for reconstruction, the Council noted.

The proposal will be submitted to the European Parliament next before it can be officially adopted.
