European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell told reporters on Monday following a meeting of the foreign ministers that the bloc failed to reach a consensus regarding the ninth sanctions package against Russia.
Nevertheless, Borrell underlined that the EU “must continue to work” on these sanctions and expressed hopes that the ministers would be able to reach an agreement during this week.
He reiterated that the bloc stays “committed to maintaining military support to Ukraine.”
