The Paris Police Prefecture has confirmed that the gathering scheduled for this Sunday, October 22, at the Place de la République, in Paris, at the initiative of a collective demanding the end of Israel’s military operations in Gaza, may take place. However, it cautioned that security measures would be put in place to oversee the protest and guarantee that it took place in good conditions. No excess will be tolerated, it clarified.
This gathering is organized by the “national collective for a just and lasting peace between Palestinians and Israelis”, which brings together about forty left-wing organizations, including La France insoumise, Attac, the CGT, and Solidaires. It is part of a series of demonstrations organized across France to express support for the Palestinian cause.
