G-a-z-a – Zionist Army fires on humanitarian aid convoys

The UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees) Office conveyed that Israeli occupying forces opened fire on one of its humanitarian convoys in the Gaza Strip. The incident happened as the convoy was returning from northern Gaza along a path designated by the occupying army. The commander of the international convoy and his team were unharmed, but one of the vehicles sustained damage.

Thomas White, the UNRWA director in Gaza, stressed that aid workers should never be targets. Concurrently, Martin Griffiths, the head of United Nations humanitarian operations, criticized the challenging conditions for delivering aid to Gaza. Griffiths noted that convoys are being targeted by gunfire, leading to delays at crossing points. He stressed the three levels of inspection before trucks can enter and a growing list of banned products, emphasizing that the fighting must stop to prevent an increasingly difficult situation for the people of Gaza and those assisting.
