The global tally for novel coronavirus infections has jumped to 6,048,384 as of May 30, according to a running tally by US-based Johns Hopkins University.
Data showed the death toll worldwide has reached 368,604 while the number of recoveries hit 2,559,962.
The United States has reported the most cases by far with 1,766,253 confirmed infections. Brazil is second with 498,440 cases, followed by Russia and the UK.
