Iran Warns its Citizens against Travelling to the U.S

Iran urged its citizens, especially scientists, on Tuesday not to travel to America, stating Iranians there were constrained to unpredictable and long confinement in inhuman circumstances.

“Iranian citizens, particularly elites and scientists, are inquired to earnestly avoid travelling to America, even to take part in scientific conferences and even having an invitation,” a travel advisory on the foreign ministry website announced.

The United States and Iran exchanged prisoners – American graduate student Xiyue Wang, confined for three years on spying charges, and jailed Iranian stem-cell researcher Massoud Soleimani, accused of sanction violations – in a unique performance of collaboration between two longtime enemies.
