Italy recorded a breaking record in its daily fatalities from the coronavirus after reporting 993 deaths on Thursday. The death toll from COVID-19 in the country now counts 58,038.
23,225 new infections were registered, taking the count of cases registered since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,664,829.
