Italy on Friday reported 14,863 new cases of COVID-19 from August 23 to 30, an increase of 28% compared to 11,606 reported in the previous seven days.
According to the Health Ministry, 65 deaths were reported, a figure also 47 .7% higher than that of the previous week, which, added to the significant increase in the number of infected people.
